Experience and Current Responsibilities

Mr. Berman joined the firm in 1980 after having served seven years as a commercial lines underwriter for a major direct-writing insurance company and several years with a national insurance broker in its large client department as a technical account executive. Mr. Berman’s commitment to his clients has earned him many longstanding relationships that have been fostered by his integrity, attention to detail, thirst for reasonable solutions (traditional and alternative), and passion for his clients’ well-being.

As one of the firm's practice leaders, Mr. Berman has exposure and clients located in a wide variety of industries. He has particularly strong skills with real estate, construction, and hospitality risks.  He has been qualified in the courts as an industry expert in numerous insurance litigation cases.

Professional Activities

In addition to his client service commitments, Mr. Berman currently serves as treasurer and board member for a private non-profit housing association and previously served as a charter board member of the Senior Financial Executives of Northern New England.
