Consultant Position


Our West Coast team is looking to hire a new Consultant. Our teams work remotely except for onsite client meetings. We have flexibility regarding the candidate's location provided they work Pacific Time Zone hours.
In this role, you would support a client team leader that serves clients across a variety of industries with the majority in real estate. Your work would primarily consist of managing insurance renewals, policy reviews, contract reviews including vendor insurance compliance, risk exposure, and claim data analysis, and overseeing client insurance broker relationships to include facilitating an occasional broker selection process.
With demonstrated skills and professionalism, and proper licensing, you would be managing client accounts yourself.

  • be a good communicator, able to effectively explain, orally and in writing, complex risk and insurance issues in a way non-insurance executives can understand.

  • be a self-starter and continuously work to improve your professional skills.

  • be diligent in tracking your time for billing purposes.

  • be able to work in a nearly paperless environment.

  • be able to work independently but still collaborate virtually with work colleagues and third parties.

Other desired skills & experience:

  • Minimum of ten years of commercial lines insurance experience.

  • Prior experience managing client accounts and delivering technical risk and insurance advice. Ideally, you have worked with real estate owners, managers, and developers.

  • Completion or progress toward professional designations such as CPCU and ARM.

  • Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. J.D. or M.B.A. also viewed favorably.

  • Project and time management skills.

  • Analytical skills including data gathering, analysis, and formulation of findings and recommendations.

  • Strong computer skills.
