Staff Analyst Position

 

Our East Coast team headquartered out of Needham, MA is looking for candidates interested in delving into the unique risks associated with clients in a wide variety of industries and acting as the architect of client risk management and insurance programs.

In order to be successful in this job you must:

  • be relentlessly inquisitive

  • be able to adhere to strict deadlines

  • enjoy negotiating insurance terms and rating structures

  • be able to effectively explain, orally and in writing, complex risk and insurance issues so that non-insurance individuals can understand them

  • be comfortable communicating unfavorable insurance market results to clients, and the pros and cons of options to buffer the impacts

  • be a self-starter and in charge of your own professional development

  • be diligent tracking your time for billing purposes

 

Other Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of four years of commercial or personal lines insurance experience. Ideally you have professional lines (D&O, E&O, Cyber, etc.) expertise and desire to broaden to all lines of insurance.

  • Completion or progress toward professional designations such as RPLU, MLIS, CPCU or ARM a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree. J.D. or M.B.A. a plus.

  • Strong insurance technical competence and strong communication skills.

  • Project management skills involving data gathering, analysis and formulation of recommendations.

  • Strong computer skills, especially those involving research and data analysis.
